Best Places to Eat in Newquay
One of the best things about visiting Newquay for a holiday is the vast array of dining options available. As a big tourist destination, Newquay caters for all tastes and budgets. here are some of our favourites.
Perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking Fistral bay, the lewinnick is a quality restaurant serving contemporary cuisine featuring meat and many fish and seafood dishes. The perfect place for a summer’s evening.
The Headland Hotel
While it has a very good restaurant, we like to visit this famous Newquay hotel for its Cream Teas. With their freshly baked scones, local clotted cream and jams, the Headland is a great place to enjoy a cream tea while enjoying views over Fistral Beach.
Situated on Newquay’s boating lake, Lakeside is a cafe and restaurant offering quality food at affordable prices. Their evening menu is superb and features locally sourced produce, expertly cooked.
The Cornish Bakery
You simply cannot come on holiday to Cornwall without tasting a Cornish pasty. Newquay has many fine bakeries and pasty outlets up and down the high streets. One of the best is the award winning Cornish Bakery on bank street. As well as traditional Cornish pasties, they make exotic variations including Thai Chicken, Spicy Chickpea and many sweet varieties.
Lusty Glaze Beach Restaurant
A lovely, lively restaurant right on the beach overlooking the sea in this private cove. The food is outstanding and affordable. It’s well worth visiting for its interesting fish dishes, novelty ‘hot rocks’ cooking and menu which now caters for people with special dietary requirements.
